Loss Of Licence
Is a benefit which is payable to the Insured in the event of the Insured having lost his licence/licences due to long term unfitness assessment being issued by the Licence Issuing Authority during the policy period or within 12 months after the expiry of the policy as a result of:
- Personal injuries or illness caused by an accident.
- Any illness other than illness as above, which is caused as a result of the following:
- Influence of alcohol, drugs or narcotics
- Incapable of diagnosis
- Any illness other than the above
Payment is subject to the insured not applying to have the Licence/Licences restored within 36 months from the date of the settlement of the claim, unless agreed by insurers. The insured may have to pay the insurers a pro-rata proportion of the benefit if the licence is restored within 18 months from the date of settlement of the claim.
