Loss Of Flying Training Expenses
Flying training costs are significant, whether training for a basic PPL or a full Commercial or Airline Transport Pilot licence. In general terms, the costs escalate considerably where training is being undertaken towards the equivalent rotorwing licence.
Non-professional pilots can now insure costs incurred for flight training where the licence or rating concerned is permanently cancelled, withdrawn or suspended through accident, illness or deterioration in general health.
This insurance product, which is unique to DJA, covers training expenses incurred in the 36 months immediately preceding the date upon which the Long-term Unfitness Assessment is issued by the relevant medical authority.
For pilots who have taken loans from banks, family or friends, or who have extended their mortgages to pay for their flight training, this product is a must-have.
